Artist's Description

I've always been drawn to the darker side of life, there is beauty in darkness, at least I try to see the beauty, one of the first stories that I remember is The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe, we had to read in school, I really never was a big reader but I was facinated by this story and the slow decent into madness driven by his own guilt, I was hooked, I started looking for other similar stories, horror was my favorite subject to read, and shapes my art today, I tend to paint darker subjects although I try to maintain a little sense of humor in some of the paintings so that my personality can show through. So Edgar Allen Poe is my final subject of people who have passed away that influence me. I call this one "Darkness in the Mind and the Pen"
